PMMIC is managed by a Board of Directors.

Ronald Burmeister is Chairman of the Board. Ron is founder and President of Carriage Development, Inc., a real estate development and management company located in Eldridge, Iowa. He founded Robur, Inc., a petroleum marketership, in 1975. That company, through a series of mergers, has become a part of Molo-Quint, one of the largest distributors in the Midwest, also located in Eldridge. He currently holds the position of Vice President at Iowa 80 Group. He is a past President of the Petroleum Marketers of Iowa, former Vice Chairman of the Board of Valley Bank, Eldridge, and has served on numerous other community boards and committees.  Mr. Burmeister has served on the PMMIC board since 2001.  He is a member of the Executive and Nominating Committees. His term expires in 2022.

M.J. Dolan is an attorney who serves as the Executive Director of the Iowa Association of Community College Trustees in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the Director of Risk Management for Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and she also worked for Wells Fargo Bank Iowa, Inc., in Participant Funds Group and for the Iowa Association of School Boards managing a variety of risk management programs designed by and for Iowa schools. M.J. also worked as the education, health and insurance policy advisor to Governor Terry E. Branstad. M.J. serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. Ms. Dolan has served on the PMMIC board since 2000.  She is a member of the Audit, Underwriting, and Marketing Committees. Her term expires in 2021.

Randall Meyer has worked in the petroleum marketing industry for 46 years and for Kum & Go L.C. or one of their affiliates for 42 years.  Kum & Go L.C./Krause Holdings has over 400 Kum & Go retail stores in eleven states. He began working in high school at the local Texaco Station and Holiday Station Store.  Since completing his education at Ellsworth College, he has held numerous positions with Kum & Go as a store manager, district supervisor, special projects manager, category manager, government affairs, vice president of sales and marketing, senior vice president of marketing, vice president of fuels, and was President of two affiliated companies. Randy has served on the Board of Directors and as Past Chairman of the Iowa Grocery Industry Association and the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa (PMCI, now FUELIowa) Board for 18 years, the Philip Morris Retailer Advisory Board, and the Ellsworth College Retail Advisory Committee. Mr. Meyer was appointed by Governor Tom Vilsack to serve on the Board of the Iowa Tobacco Control Commission. He also served on the Board of Directors for Liberty Savings Bank, the Institute of Supply Management-Central Iowa, and St. James Lutheran Church Council, where he served as Treasurer.  Randy is currently the Director of Procurement for Kum & Go L.C.  Mr. Meyer has served on the PMMIC board since 2012. He is a member of the Governance, Underwriting, and Marketing Committees.  His term expires in 2021.

Randy Woodard is President and CEO of Elliott Oil Company, Ottumwa, Iowa. A graduate of Truman State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Randy is also the President of Elliott Transport Inc. and Elliott Bulk Services. He is the Past Chairman of the PMCI Health Trust and served as a Trustee from 2002-2014. He is former Chairman of the Board and was a member of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Stores of Iowa (now FUELIowa) and is a former member of the Board of Directors of RIN Alliance. He has served on the Ottumwa Regional Health Center Board of Directors and on the Indian Hills Community College Business Advisory Council and is a former member of the Wells Fargo Bank-Ottumwa Board of Directors. He has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum marketing industry. Mr. Woodard has served on the PMMIC board since 2012. He is a member of the Governance and Executive Committees. His term expires in 2020.

Jerry Woods is a retired Certified Public Accountant who served as the Chief Financial Officer for Grinnell Mutual Group from 1992 to 2010.  He was also awarded CGMA, CPCU and AIAF accounting and insurance designations. He was an Auditor with Ernst & Young from 1971 to 1992 and has been recognized by the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants with the Distinguished Service, Outstanding CPA in Business and Industry, and Outstanding Committee Chair awards. He has served on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Governing Council; Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, Board of Directors and President; Iowa Chapter of Certified Property Casualty Underwriters, President of Grinnell Subchapter; Institute of Internal Auditors, Iowa Chapter, Board of Governors; and the Polk-Des Moines Taxpayers Association, Board of Directors.  Mr. Woods has served on the PMMIC board since 2013.  He is a member of the Audit and Executive Committees. His term expires in 2022.

Jeff Yurgae is President and CEO of Mueller-Yurgae Associates, a food brokerage firm located in Des Moines, Iowa with offices in Omaha, Kansas City, Denver, and Minneapolis. He has served on the MYA Board of Directors since 2003. Previous to joining Mueller-Yurgae Associates, Mr. Yurgae worked as a sales representative for Kimberly-Clark Corporation based in Neenah, Wisconsin. He has a degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Mr. Yurgae is a board member of the Consolidated Sales Network. CSN is a network of independent brokers located throughout North America. He also serves as a board member at West Bank, as part of their community board. He previously served on the Foundation Board at Children & Families of Iowa. Mr. Yurgae has served on the PMMIC board since 2014.  He is a member of the Governance and Marketing Committees. His term expires in 2020.

Robert Renkes is an attorney who serves as Executive Director of the Fiberglass Tank & Pipe Institute (FT&PI) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to joining FT&PI, Bob worked 38 years for the Petroleum Equipment Institute where he served as its executive vice president and general counsel. PEI is a trade association that represents 1,615 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, service and/or own petroleum storage and marketing equipment. He is a graduate of Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, and received his law degree from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He currently serves on various technical committees of the National Fire Protection Association, Underwriters Laboratories, US Army Corps of Engineers, American Water Works Association, and the Coordinating Research Council. Bob has served as President of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Tulsa. Mr. Renkes has served on the PMMIC board since 2018. He is a member of the Audit and Underwriting Committees. His term expires in 2021.


Patrick Rounds is President and CEO of Petroleum Marketers Management Insurance Company as well as President for it's subsidiary, R&A Risk Professionals. He founded R&A in 1999. With over 25 years of experience managing environmental risks and creating risk-financing programs, he is nationally recognized as a speaker on environmental risk management and financial responsibility programs for petroleum storage tank systems. He serves on the Underwriter Laboratories (UL) technical standard panels for UL971, Standard for Nonmetallic Underground Piping For Flammable Liquids. An attorney by education, Mr. Rounds has consulted with several states to conduct evaluation of their UST programs and has created several risk financing mechanisms to assist owners to demonstrate compliance with environmental financial responsibility requirements. He has developed risk financing programs in several states and in Canada. Mr. Rounds was the Administrator of the Iowa Comprehensive Petroleum UST Financial Responsibility Fund from 1994 through 1999. He is a former board member and Past President of the Foundation for Children and Families of Iowa, a member of the Dowling Catholic High School Foundation Board, Holy Family School Inner-City Youth Foundation Board, a Principal of Des Moines Flying Club and is Past President of the Des Moines Skydivers. 

Thomas Norris (ARM, CPCU) is Vice President of Operations for PMMIC. Mr. Norris has over 30 years experience in insurance and risk management. His background incudes claims, loss control and underwriting associated with environmental risks focusing on petroleum storage tank systems. He has managed and/or overseen over 8,000 environmental claims in the United States and Canada. He has also been instrumental in the creation of five separate risk-financing mechanisms for environmental liability coverage. Mr. Norris has extensive experience with environmental contracting, litigation management, and cost recovery issues. 

Brian Wiegert is Vice President of Underwriting for PMMIC. Mr. Wiegert currently serves as a national committee member for the Petroleum Equipment Institute's RP 900 Recommended Practices for the Inspection/Maintenance of UST Systems and RP1300 Recommended Practices for the Design, Installation, Service, Repair and Maintenance of Aviation Fueling Systems. Mr. Wiegert also served on the Board of Directors for PEI.
