UST 3rd Party
PMMIC’s third-party coverage for USTs covers bodily injury or property damages as a result of a petroleum release from the insured tank system. This policy includes defense costs up to $250,000. It is currently the only PMMIC policy that does not include an annual loss control inspection.
In general, anything that has to do with corrective action or assessment, repair, replacement, or closure of the underground storage tank system is not covered by this policy. Please refer to the policies listed below for additional exclusions and details.
Like all PMMIC policies, this is a “claims-made and reported” policy, which means the release must have occurred and the claim must be submitted on or after the retroactive date and before the policy is cancelled. Once a policy has been cancelled or non-renewed, there is an additional 180-day Extended Reporting Period (ERP) to report a claim.
